Assistant Professor Emmanuel Mastromanolis teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels Competition Law, Economic Analysis of Competition Law, Bankruptcy Law, Cross-Border Insolvency Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition at the School of Law of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is a delegate at the OECD WP 2 on Competition and Debt Management, member of the Academic Society for Competition Law (ASCOLA), of INSOL International, of the Greek Commercialists Association (SYNEEMP), and of the Commercial and Economic Law Studies Society (EMEOD).
He has participated in the lawmaking committees on national and cross-border company transformations, and of the tax treatment of company transformations. He has been twice Visiting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Law School (2010, 2017). He is the author of three monographs respectively on Competition, Capital Markets and Insolvency Law, has contributed to five legal commentaries in Competition, Corporate and Cross-Border Insolvency Law, and has written more than fifty articles across the spectrum of Commercial Law in English and Greek. For over twenty years, he has been partner at a major Athens Law firm, where he served as head of the Competition Practice Group, and from 2019 until 2022 he has been head of the Legal Office of the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic.
Assistant Professor Mastromanolis is a graduate of the School of Law of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (LL.B.) and of the University of Pennsylvania Law School (LL.M., S.J.D.- doctorate).
