The School of Law currently aims to equip its graduates with the necessary knowledge in various branches of law, to familiarize them with legal thinking and enable them to successfully apply and interpret the legal provisions.

Doctrinal knowledge of positive law is not what we aspire to provide our students with. Law is a cultural science, and the only way to conquer it is to gain a full and clear picture of its relationship to the historical, economic, social, cultural and philosophical developments. In addition, one must understand the purpose of each legislative provision and the conflicting interests that the legislator seeks to reconcile every time with this provision, in order to penetrate the legal method and tame the vast and ever-expanding legal matter.

Basic aim of the Athens School of Law is to offer better, more useful and creative studies to its students, which will provide them with skills and qualifications that will enable them to deal with the complex and ever-changing academic, professional, social, cultural and technological reality.

The  Athens School of Law aspires to exercise the student's way of learning new knowledge, via research, synthesis of knowledge and communication and collaboration with his fellow students. The study rooms of the Faculty aim to become beloved places of work and cooperation, where students will enjoy discovering the legal literature.

The teaching of each module serves a dual educational objective: combining general supervision of legal science with specialization, and the combination of guiding the student with the ability of self-motivation. Hence, the modules are divided into a) compulsory, which provide the basic knowledge from the main branches of law, b) mandatory elective, which allow the students to refine their spherical knowledge, and c) free elective, which offer the students the opportunity to further deepen their knowledge in sectors of their choice.

The School promotes equal opportunities for students with disabilities, by providing customized services, supporting technologies and internet access.

In conclusion, the School strives to upgrade the level of education offered by the first and oldest law school in Greece, offering an academic program and services that are on par with prominent European Law Schools and establishing a modern, Greek, European, humanitarian image, geared to the needs and demands of practice, which will enjoy recognition from the global academic community.
