Mary Chamilou

Mary Chamilou is an attorney at law. She has been working with the Hellenic Competition Commission since 2011. She has handled numerous cartel, abuse of dominance and merger cases in a wide range of sectors of the economy.

Since 2020 she is Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Communications of the Hellenic Competition Commission. Mary has extensive experience in EU, ECN, and international matters. She manages EU, international and bilateral cooperation projects and represents the HCC in EU and international fora (including ECN, OECD, UNCTAD and ICN). 

Prior to joining the HCC, Mary worked as a competition lawyer in a leading multinational law firm and in major law firms in Athens.

Mary holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a member of the Athens Bar Association.

She holds an LL.M in International Economic Law from University of Warwick, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax, from Athens School of Economics and Business.

She speaks English and French.
